Johnson joins Hempel USA

Peter Stevenson joins Simplex-Turbulo

As part of a further initiative to strengthen customer support Simplex has appointed Peter Stevenson in a new role as sales director.

Roy Sea Joins IYC as Florida and California Licensed Yacht Broker.

 

International Yacht Collection (IYC) has announced that, effective immediately, Roy Sea joins the global yachting firm as a Florida and California Licensed Yacht Broker. With a yachting background that spans forty years, Roy Sea has expertise in many of the world’s leading yacht brands and brokerages: Broward, Burger Boat Company, Christensen, Feadship, Jarrett Bay Yacht Sales (Hatteras, Grand Banks and Albemarle), Merrill Stevens, Ocean Alexander, Palmer Johnson, Vicem USA and Viking to name but a few. 


Roy’s experience includes technical skills critical to advising clients buying and selling yachts and considering new yacht construction. He holds a B.S. in Industrial Engineering, a B.A. in Economics and an MBA. He worked for the U.S. Navy’s Diving and Ocean Engineering Department, with secret security clearance, testing and operating equipment. He’s also sailed the Atlantic, dived to 290’—and authored engineering papers on diving—worked as a project manager for the cleanup of the Exxon Valdez oil spill in Prince William Sound and has held a U.S. Coast Guard Ocean Operators License since 1972.

Kerssens Joins Van Aalst Marine & Offshore

Mario Kerssens has joined the CargoMaxx team at Van Aalst Offshore & Marine, as Manager Business Development, starting the 1st of January 2012.

 

After serving the shipping and offshore industry for more than 20 years in senior sales, marketing and business development positions at Dockwise, Fairmount, Sealift and Fairstar, his latest role has been with FG International Holland BV, the Dutch Special Lifting company, that recently teamed up with Linjebygg Offshore from Norway under the new name LBO International.

 

At Van Aalst his focus will be on the market development of the successfully introduced CargoMaxx handling system for combined liquid and dry bulk on board platform supply vessels, anchor handling vessels, mobile offshore drilling units and fixed platforms. Supported by orders triggered by Statoil and Petrobras, this innovative system is set to revolutionize the logistics involved with amongst others drill cuttings in an environmentally smarter way than the present outdated industry standards. Combined with the recently opened Houston office the Van Aalst sales team has now doubled its strength.

Caravello joins Rainmaker LLC

Jack Caravello has joined Rainmaker LLC as Vice President of Business Development, bringing with him more than 37 years of experience in Maritime and Offshore Industries.  After graduating from MAINE MARITIME ACADEMY in 1971, Mr. Caravello sailed briefly in the American Merchant Marine Industry, shifting next to the Offshore Service and Supply Industry. Mr. Caravello came ashore in 1972, and has made Houston, TX his home. After coming ashore he moved into Marine and Offshore sales; Mr. Caravello represented Ashland Chemical for 18 years, covering the US Gulf Coast. Ryan Joins Customized Brokers as Logistics Specialist

Customized Brokers, the Miami-based customs brokerage specializing in the clearance of fresh produce into the United States, has named Christopher Ryan as perishables logistics specialist for the Northeast. He is based in Pennsauken, N.J., and reports to Customized Brokers General Manager Nelly Yunta. In this position, Ryan is responsible for business development, customer service, and maintaining relationships with terminals, government agencies and industry associations in the Northeast, including those in Delaware, Pennsylvania and parts of New York. ”We are very pleased to have Christopher join us at Customized Brokers,” said Yunta. “His presence in Pennsauken, which is just across the river from the key produce handling port of Philadelphia, will allow him to assist customers quickly should any issues arise during the import/export process.”
